All officials should be careful in their speech and behaviour so that we can thwart enemies' conspiracies

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Referring to the need to maintain the cohesion and convergence of the three branches in order to resolve the economic and livelihood problems of the people and counter the sanctions and conspiracies of the enemies, the President stressed, "The government is seeking to flourish the economy and people's livelihood with the cooperation of other branches, and we will not allow the conspiracies of the enemies to bear fruit".

Speaking on Monday evening in the 53rd session of the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the Heads of the Three Branches, which was attended by the heads of the legislature and the judiciary, members of the government's economic board and representatives of the judiciary and the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Dr Hassan Rouhani emphasised, "We should plan and take action in a way that the noble people of Iran feel that the whole system is trying to solve their economic problems and livelihood, and this issue is very important in the special and complex economic conditions of the country today".

The President continued, "Overcoming the complicated situation imposed by the outbreak of coronavirus and the sanctions imposed on the country by the enemy requires the adoption of measures and policies that can create openings in the economic and living conditions of the people, and that in this regard, the three branches are working together in harmony and convergence".

Dr Rouhani stated that today, in addition to sanctions and pressure, the enemies seek to spread despair, hopelessness and discouragement about the future among the people, and they want to induce discords and divisions among the officials in the society by spreading rumours, adding, "All officials should be careful in their words and behavior so that we can neutralise the conspiracies of the enemies and spread hope and happiness in society."

The President said that the heads of the three branches and other officials welcome the suggestions, criticisms and solutions of all specialists, experts and economic activists to improve the economic and living conditions of the people, noting, "Based on the experience of previous years, especially the last two and a half years of countering sanctions and economic warfare of the enemy, we can certainly overcome these problems by relying on the capabilities and capacities in the country and maintaining cohesion and unity".
